Veteran actress Zeenat Aman’s social media account is a walking retro station, where she often shares many stories and experiences of her life. Now recently he mentioned the incident which made him stay away from the hobby of expensive watches forever. The actress shared an anecdote from her young days about how she was part of a charity cricket match with late former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Simi Grewal and lost her precious watch. The veteran actress has shared this entire story in great detail. In her new post, the veteran actress mentioned the incident when she lost the expensive Rolex watch she had received as a gift.
When an expensive Rolex watch was stolen
Describing the entire incident in detail, Zeenat Aman wrote – ‘My friend Amina was a very rich woman. Her husband was a billionaire of Arab origin, who fulfilled every wish of his wife. They had luxurious homes in cities around the world, and each home was filled with expensive furniture and artwork. Somewhere there was a Fabergé egg, somewhere there was a painting by Picasso. Whenever I went to one of their houses, I used to instruct my children in advance not to touch anything. I was afraid that they might damage some antique or expensive thing.

A friend had gifted me a watch.
Zeenat further writes – “Amina was a generous and understanding friend. She sensed my fondness for watches and one day she gifted me a Rolex watch, which was worth more than any watch I owned. That Rolex watch became my most precious possession and hardly a day went by when I did not wear that watch. But, the game of fate is very cruel. I lost this watch just a few years after getting it. I donated it to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund in New Delhi. Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was also present in the organized charity cricket match, many actors also came to watch the match.

He further said, “I had decided to play the match in the spirit of the game. For which we were advised to remove all the jewelery and accessories. Ali from Mazzafarpur said that he would keep an eye on our bags. Taking precautions, I also kept my precious Rolex watch in the same bag. But when we returned laughing and drenched in sweat, my bag was not found, only mine was missing and all the stuff kept in it was also stolen. I was very sad.” I was upset, but seeing the situation, I had to show courage. Then I stayed away from expensive watches for years, until one day my son gifted me a beautiful Cartier watch.”
