Sara Khan has shared a screenshot on her official Instagram handle, in which a user questioned her decision of marriage and even advised her to change her surname. That user wrote, ‘Did you find only one Hindu in the whole world to marry you? Very disappointing. Remove ‘Khan’ from your name, you are no longer a Muslim. Sara not only expressed disappointment over such a radical and insulting message, but also responded in a sarcastic tone. Re-sharing this message on his Insta story, he wrote, ‘Disappointed? Sad…go, die in this despair.
From Nikah to seven rounds
Sara Khan and Krish Pathak were married in a private ceremony on 5 December 2025. While sharing pictures from her wedding, Sara had written in the caption, ‘From Kabulool Hai to Saat Phero… our love wrote its own script and both our worlds accepted it.’ It is noteworthy that Sara and Krish were in a relationship for a long time before marriage. Respecting each other’s religion and beliefs, the couple got married as per both Hindu and Muslim customs. According to Sara, her marriage is a union of two cultures, but some fundamentalists are not liking her inclusive approach.
