Many leaders in Indian politics have declared assets worth crores and billions of rupees. Now the report of analysis of assets of Chief Ministers has also been released by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR). According to this report, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has become the Chief Minister with the least assets in the country. At the same time, West Bengal Chief Minister Subhendu Adhikari is the second CM among the Chief Ministers of the country who has the least assets. The assets declared by him are Rs 85.87 lakh.
What is the total wealth of 31 Chief Ministers?
According to ADR, the total declared assets of the 31 Chief Ministers of the country is Rs 3,660 crore. Of these, four Chief Ministers are billionaires and 25 Chief Ministers are millionaires. Let us tell you that ADR is a non-governmental organization, which works in the field of electoral and political reforms.
How much property does Omar Abdullah have?
This information has come to light in the analysis of election affidavits issued by ADR and National Election Watch. The analysis, based on self-declared election affidavits given by chief ministers of 31 states and union territories, found that Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has the least assets. His declared assets are Rs 55.24 lakh. Shubhendu Adhikari is in second place with declared assets of Rs 85.87 lakh. His declared assets include movable assets worth Rs 24.57 lakh and immovable assets worth Rs 61.30 lakh.

Who is the richest CM?
He is followed by Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, whose declared assets are more than Rs 1.03 crore. On the other hand, Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivkumar is at the top of this list, whose declared assets are more than Rs 1,413 crore. At second place is Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu, his wealth is Rs 931 crore. At third place is Tamil Nadu CM Joseph Vijay, whose assets are worth Rs 648 crore.
Assets of 4 Chief Ministers are more than Rs 1 billion
Of the 31 chief ministers, four (13%) have declared assets worth more than Rs 1 billion. The ADR analysis also found that the average assets declared by the 31 chief ministers were Rs 118.07 crore.
14 criminal cases against CM
The report analyzes not only the assets but also the criminal background of the Chief Ministers. Regarding the criminal background of the Chief Ministers, the report said that out of the 31 Chief Ministers, 14 have declared criminal cases against themselves, while 11 face serious criminal charges.
