As soon as the trailer of film director Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film ‘Ramayana’ was released, a round of discussions has started among the audience and cinema lovers. While on one hand a lot of excitement is being seen on social media regarding Ranbir Kapoor’s double role as Shri Ram and Lord Parshuram, on the other hand a glimpse of Lord Vishnu shown in the trailer has created a new suspense among the audience. Various speculations are being made among social media users regarding the identity of the actor playing the role of Lord Vishnu in that short scene.
Has TV’s ‘Shri Krishna’ become Lord Vishnu?
A section on social media believes that actor Saurabh Raj Jain is seen in this role. Saurabh Raj Jain was widely recognized for his memorable role of Lord Shri Krishna in BR Chopra’s famous mythological serial ‘Mahabharata’. He has already played the role of Lord Vishnu in ‘Devon Ke Dev Mahadev’. Comparing the looks and facial expressions of his old mythological characters, many fans claim that he is seen in this scene of ‘Ramayana’. Anyone will immediately realize that he is none other than Saurabh.
Mahesh Babu or Ranbir Kapoor himself?
On the other hand, a large section of fans on the internet also believe that this face could be that of Tollywood actor Mahesh Babu. Interestingly, Mahesh Babu is currently working on director SS Rajamouli’s film ‘Varanasi’, which is based on Indian mythological references and in which he will be seen in a special sequence inspired by Shri Ram. On this basis, many people are associating him with this character.
Apart from this, a third possibility is also emerging that whether Ranbir Kapoor himself is playing the character of Lord Vishnu. Ranbir has already confirmed that he is playing the character of Shri Ram and Lord Parashuram in the film, both of whom are incarnations of Lord Vishnu. In such a situation, fans speculate that Ranbir may have been presented as the original Lord Vishnu, although this has not been clearly revealed in the scenes of the trailer.
Highlights of the story shown in the trailer
The trailer released begins with the announcement of the character Ravana, played by Kannada star Yash, calling himself the master of all three worlds. When his tyranny and arrogance increases, Lord Vishnu incarnates as Shri Ram to restore the religion. After this, Ranbir Kapoor’s character is shown fighting demons, getting education and tying the knot with Mother Sita. The turning point in the story comes when Shri Ram has to go on exile for 14 years. In this difficult journey, Mother Sita (Sai Pallavi) and Lakshman (Ravi Dubey) also set out with them towards the forest. After this, the foundation of the abduction of Sita and the great battle between religion and unrighteousness is laid by Ravana, the king of Lanka. The first part of this mega cinematic series ‘Ramayanam: Part 1’ produced by Namit Malhotra will be released in theaters on the occasion of Diwali this year, while its second part is planned to be released in Diwali 2027.
