Sharing the new poster of the film on social media, the makers said that now this film will be released in theaters on August 26, 2026 during the Onam festival. On Sunday, filmmaker Geetu Mohandas shared a new poster of the film on his Instagram handle and also shared information about the new release date of the film. In this poster it is written in big words – ’26-08-26 Global Release.’ In the caption of the post, he wrote, “The happiest Onam is about to come. Toxic in theaters worldwide from 26-08-2026.” As soon as I saw this post I started expressing my happiness. One said- ‘Finally, had been waiting for so long.’ Another wrote- ‘Finally the new release date has arrived.’
Release has been postponed several times
Let us tell you that the release of Yash starrer action thriller ‘Toxic’ has been postponed several times. Earlier this film was scheduled to release in theaters on March 19, 2026. If this had happened, then it would have clashed with Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ at the box office, which has become the most successful film of this year and is the second highest grossing film of the country. Before the film was released, the makers postponed it till June 4 citing the ongoing uncertainty in the Middle East.
