Information about ‘Lagaan’

Talking about the story of ‘Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India’, it is based on the British period of 1893 and the concept of Lagaan i.e. tax on land. This is the story of villagers in Victorian India who risk their future in a cricket match against an arrogant British commander in order to get relief from taxes.
