Talking about the IPL final played on 31 May, this match was between Gujarat and RCB. In the final match played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Gujarat Titans by five wickets and won the title for the second time. Batting first, Gujarat scored 155 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, RCB achieved this target in just 18 overs. RCB successfully achieved the target by losing 5 wickets in 18 overs. In the final match, Virat Kohli played an unbeaten inning of 75 runs on 42 balls and also received the Player of the Match award.
RCB became champion for the second consecutive time
It is noteworthy that RCB has become the third IPL team to win the title for the second consecutive time and with this, team captain Rajat Patidar has joined this elite list along with Mahendra Singh Dhoni of Chennai Super Kings and Rohit Sharma of Mumbai Indians.
