Kangana Ranaut’s recent release ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata’ is struggling at the box office. Although the film’s earnings saw a good increase on the second day, the film struggled to maintain the momentum on the first Sunday. Manoj Tapadia’s film, released on June 12, depicts the events of 26/11 attacks from the perspective of healthcare workers who risked their lives to save the lives of patients. Kangana is not only the lead actor of this film, but she has also co-produced it under the Manikarnika Films banner.
Box office collection of ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata’
According to industry tracker Saknilk, ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata’ earned an estimated Rs 1.58 crore on its third day in theaters, taking its total nett collection in India to Rs 4.25 crore. Till the time of writing the news, the film has earned this much. Sunday’s figures show that there was no significant increase in the film’s earnings. Its number of shows dropped significantly to 794 on the third day as compared to 1,956 shows on the second day, while the total occupancy was around 14%, which is less than the 17% occupancy recorded the day before.
Kangana Ranaut’s film languished on its first Sunday
After a modest opening of Rs 1 crore on Friday, a good increase in the film’s earnings was seen on Saturday. There was a jump of almost 45% in the earnings on the second day and the film earned 1.45 crores. The amazing thing is that the makers had started ‘Buy One Get One’ ticket offer across the country, but it did not yield much benefit. In such a situation, the film could not maintain its pace till Sunday.
Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata Tax-Free
‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata’, which is running at the box office, has been made tax-free in both Delhi and Haryana. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini made the announcement after a special screening of the film in Chandigarh, which was also attended by Kangana Ranaut. At the same time, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta had also made the same announcement.
