Monsoon is moving towards these states
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), by Sunday, the northern limit of monsoon has reached Harnai, Solapur, Hyderabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Kalingapatnam, Paradip, Baripada, Purulia, Dhanbad and Muzaffarpur through the Arabian Sea. The Meteorological Department said that the conditions remain favorable for further advance of monsoon during the next 4 to 5 days.
During this period, Southwest Monsoon is likely to advance into more parts of Maharashtra, remaining parts of Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, some more areas of Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar and parts of South Chhattisgarh.
Will provide relief from heat
According to IMD, with the progress of monsoon, these states may see an increase in rainfall activities, which is expected to provide relief from the heat. The Meteorological Department is continuously monitoring the monsoon situation and is issuing updates from time to time.
It rained in Delhi-NCR today
It rained heavily in Delhi-NCR on Monday morning. This has given relief to people from the heat. According to the Meteorological Department, Delhi-NCR will remain cloudy during the day. There are chances of more rain till evening.
Rain occurred in many districts of Rajasthan
At the same time, it rained at some places in eastern Rajasthan on Sunday, while light rain occurred at some places in the western parts. The Meteorological Department said that there was no heat wave anywhere in the state during this period. According to the department, Chaumun town in Jaipur district recorded the highest rainfall of 44 millimeters (mm). Chittorgarh and Bhilwara received 23 mm and 5 mm rainfall respectively. Along with this, the Meteorological Department said that due to western disturbance, there is a possibility of rain in Bikaner, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer, Kota and Jodhpur divisions for the next 4-5 days.
Phalodi was the hottest in Rajasthan
Phalodi was the hottest place in the state, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 42.8 degrees Celsius. The day temperature was recorded at 41.2 degrees Celsius in Jaisalmer, 41.1 degrees Celsius in Barmer and 40.9 degrees Celsius in Churu.
