The box office collection report of the first day of the film ‘Governor’ is nothing special. The first day proved to be quite disappointing for the film. June 12 saw the biggest clash at the box office, one of which included director Chinmay D. Mandlekar’s historical drama film ‘Governor: The Silent Savior’, which has been released in theatres. Actor Manoj Bajpayee’s film traces the tumultuous period of India’s 1991 ‘balance of payments’ crisis, when the country stood on the brink of one of the most serious economic crises in its history. The film ‘Governor’ has not made any special collection at the box office on its first day.
Movie ‘Governor’ Opening Day Collection
Nine films of different genres have been released together on the big screen on June 12. Despite this, this political drama has made a net collection of Rs 90 lakh on the opening day in India till the time of writing the news. The film, which was shown in 1427 shows across the country, is now resting on the weekend to gain good momentum in the theatres. On this day, ‘Main Vyapar Aaunga’ was at the forefront, which collected Rs 1.15 crore. This film starring brilliant actors like Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Sharvari and Vedang Raina achieved this top position in 2302 shows. ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata’ was at second position. This film of Kangana Ranaut earned a total net worth of Rs 76 lakh from 2181 shows. Among the big Hindi films released that day, ‘Governor’ also performed well and secured the third position. It grossed Rs 90 lakh despite a low screen count of 1,020 shows.

‘Governor’ was released in theaters along with eight other films. On June 12, a variety of films were released at the box office, which included ‘Main Wapas Aaung’, ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata’, ‘Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past’, ‘The Narmada Story’, ‘Heer Sara’, ‘Scary Movie’, ‘Disclosure Day’ and ‘Backrooms’. Due to the divided opinion among the audience, tremendous competition was clearly visible in the opening day box office collection.

Talking about the cast of the film, Manoj Bajpayee is in the lead role. Whereas, A. Madhu Shah plays the role of Ramanan’s wife Vandita Ramanan. Naushad Mohammed Kunju plays the role of Deputy Governor C. Rangarajan, while Adah Sharma plays the role of journalist Aditi Verma. Paritosh Sand, Jaywant Wadkar, Krisha Kurup, Rajiv Gaursingh, Sanjay Sonu and Jigar Shah will also be seen.
