Heavy rain in southern and eastern parts of the country, heat wave alert in Rajasthan


It is raining continuously in many parts of the country including Delhi NCR and it seems that monsoon has arrived in the entire country. However, there are many parts near Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Gujarat where it is extremely hot. The Meteorological Department has also issued a heatwave alert at these places. Along with this, it has been made clear that this year the monsoon will take about two more weeks to reach Delhi. Currently it is raining in Delhi and other parts of North India. That is due to western disturbance. The situation is likely to remain like this for the next two-three days.

According to IMD, the upper limit of monsoon is near Maharashtra, Telangana, Odisha, Bihar and Jharkhand. There is a possibility of monsoon spreading in these states in the coming two-three days. At the same time, a warning has been issued regarding heatwave in Marathwada, Telangana, Vidarbha and Western Rajasthan.

Monsoon advances in Bihar-Bengal

Southwest Monsoon has advanced into parts of West Bengal and Bihar. Apart from this, some parts of Orissa and Jharkhand have also been covered. Under the influence of a Western Disturbance, rainfall accompanied with gusty winds and hailstorm may continue over Northwest India and these events are likely to continue till June 14. In the last 24 hours, heavy rains have been recorded in Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh.

It will rain in Maharashtra, Telangana

In the coming two to three days, monsoon will also cover the remaining parts of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal. Along with this, it can also cover some parts of Orissa, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Bihar. There may be a drop of 2 to 4° Celsius in the maximum temperature in North-West India. After this the temperature may gradually increase by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius. Hail may occur along with rain in parts of North West India, Central India, East India. Heavy rains may occur in Uttarakhand, North Western Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, West Bengal and North Eastern states.

Heatwave alert in Rajasthan

Dust storm may hit western Rajasthan and heat wave conditions may continue. Heatwave conditions may prevail in southwestern Rajasthan as well as Maharashtra and Telangana. Apart from this, heavy rainfall may occur in Eastern India, East North India and South Western India. There is a possibility of heavy rain mainly in Kerala. Gusts of strong winds are likely to be seen mainly in Bihar, Jharkhand and Orissa. Heavy rainfall may also occur over Bihar, Orissa as well as the northeastern states.
