While talking to News18, Abhishek Bachchan has reacted on not charging fees for ‘Raja Shivaji’. He said, ‘Nowadays there is talk of facts and figures in reels and people are having fun talking about artistes’ fees, van demands, but at the end of the day it is an art form. An art form that starts from the heart. When there is true belief in a project, money and facilities do not matter. For me, acting is an emotional connection. Inspiration is the real beginning of art.

Abhishek Bachchan also praised Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza during the conversation. Praising the star couple, he said, ‘Today, a lot of mathematics is used in films, but Ritesh and Genelia have proved that not everything depends on numbers. This project was very sacred for him. He never saw this film as a project, rather he considered it bigger and more sacred than a film.

Talking about the grandeur and challenges of the film, Abhishek said that no film has ever been made on such a large scale in Marathi cinema before.
