Instagram Instants App: Instagram has introduced a new app called Instants, which focuses on real-time sharing. The app lets users upload photos and short videos instantly without heavy editing. The photo or video disappears after viewing, promoting natural interacting. Instants is currently in the testing phase and has been rolled out in only a few countries. Its target is to compete with apps that focus on private and instant communication.

The main feature of this app is View Once, a powerful feature like Snapchat. Its most important thing is that the photo or video sent in it can be viewed only once. Instagram’s new app Instants can create a stir in the world of social media and this app is ready to compete with Snapchat.

The slogan of Instants is Real life, real quick. The app focuses solely on photos and videos taken at the same time. In this, the emphasis is on sharing raw and real moments, not heavily edited or filtered photos like Instagram. Under this, after viewing a photo or video, it disappears immediately. If it is not viewed, it will automatically expire after 24 hours i.e. it will be removed from the platform.

Uploading from phone gallery is not possible

You cannot upload old photos from your phone gallery. You have to take the photo with the app’s camera only.

Currently, Meta is testing this app in select countries like Spain and Italy. It is likely to be rolled out in India and other countries in the next few months. Instagram is testing Instants as a standalone app in select countries like Italy and Spain and in some places as part of the main app. This app is being tested on both Android and iOS.
