According to the information, the last rites of Ayatollah Khamenei will be performed from 5th to 9th July. Let us tell you that Ayatollah Khamenei was killed in the attack by America and Israel on 28 February 2026. Now that the war between America and Iran has stopped and talks are going on, then his last rites will be performed.
PM Modi has also received invitation
Invitations have been sent to leaders around the world for the funeral of Ayatollah Khamenei. India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also invited for this event. However, instead of PM Modi, the Government of India has decided to send Bihar Governor Syed Ata Hasnain and Minister of State for External Affairs Pavitra Margaretha for Khamenei’s funeral.

Who will go?
PTI quoted sources as saying that Congress may send its Foreign Department chief Salman Khurshid to Khamenei’s funeral program. Along with this, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti has also said that she will go to Iran to pay tribute to Khamenei. According to PTI, the rituals related to Khamenei’s funeral will take place from July 5 to 9. Events related to Khamenei’s funeral will be held on July 5, 6 and 7 in Tehran and Qom. Whereas, the final program will be held on July 9 in Mashhad city.
