Rajya Sabha MP from Himachal Pradesh Harsh Mahajan’s health suddenly deteriorated in Shimla on Saturday. He had come to participate in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s demonstration outside the DC office in Shimla. The demonstration was organized in protest against the alleged delay in the appointment of BDC Chairman and Zilla Parishad Chairman.
Stumbled and fell due to dizziness
After the protest ended, Harsh Mahajan, while talking to the media, targeted the Congress government of the state. After this, when BJP MLA Balveer Verma was talking to journalists, Harsh Mahajan was standing near him. During this time he suddenly felt dizzy and started staggering. The BJP leaders and workers present at the spot immediately helped him and saved him from falling.
Harsh Mahajan had a syncope attack
Soon after the incident, he was taken to Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla, through an HRTC taxi parked outside the DC office. Doctors in the hospital have started his health checkup. According to preliminary information, Harsh Mahajan had a syncope attack. Now his condition is normal. The MP has now been shifted to CCU. Let us tell you that syncope is colloquially called ‘fainting’ or ‘falling after feeling dizzy’. This happens due to reduced blood flow to the brain. Later the person also gets cured.

Who is Harsh Mahajan?
Harsh Mahajan is a BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP. She won the Rajya Sabha seat by defeating the Congress candidate in the elections held in the year 2024. Chamba-born Mahajan is the former Animal Husbandry Minister of the state. He is the son of former Speaker of Himachal Legislative Assembly and former cabinet minister Desh Raj Mahajan. He started his political career from Congress. In 1993, he was elected MLA for the first time from Chamba seat on Congress ticket. He also became MLA on Congress ticket in 1998 and 2003 elections. Mahajan parted ways with the Congress in September 2022 and joined the BJP ahead of the 2022 Himachal Pradesh elections.
