Bollywood superstars Shahrukh Khan and Gauri Khan have got a big relief from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has allowed the superstar to add an additional floor to his Mumbai bungalow ‘Mannat’. The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected the superstar’s plea challenging the ‘Coastal Regulation Zone’ (CRZ) approval granted to him to add two more floors to his house. The bench comprising Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, Justice Joymalya Bagchi and Justice V. Mohana categorically refused to interfere in the decision of the National Green Tribune (NGT) and said that the authorities approving the renovation work have fully followed the provisions of the law and there is no need to interfere in the matter.
Petition against renovation work in SRK’s ‘Mannat’
Let us tell you, a petition was filed by a resident of Mumbai against the renovation of Shahrukh Khan’s bungalow ‘Mannat’, in which he raised questions on the approval given for the renovation of the actor’s sea-facing bungalow in Bandra. While hearing the petition, the Supreme Court also expressed doubt on the intentions of the petitioner. The bench said that prima facie the purpose of filing the petition seemed suspicious. The Supreme Court rejected the petition as no solid basis was found in the case. The court has not put any ban on the renovation, which means now the renovation work can continue in ‘Mannat’.

Shahrukh Khan bought this bungalow in 2001 and later named it ‘Mannat’, which means a ‘wish’ or ‘prayer’ made from the heart. On the other hand, due to the renovation work in ‘Mannat’, Shahrukh Khan, along with his wife Gauri Khan and children Aryan, Suhana and AbRam, has shifted to a luxury apartment building in Pali Hill area of Mumbai for a few days. According to reports, the actor has rented four floors of this building from film producer Vashu Bhagnani, in which he is living with his family.
