Television actress Kanika Maheshwari, who plays the role of Meenakshi in ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’, has put an end to the rumors going on about her personal life. There were talks of divorce of the actress for three years, but now she clarified that she is not divorced and she is married to her husband, even though the couple lives in different cities. Speaking on the speculations, Kanika revealed that at one point they had thought about divorce, but eventually they resolved their differences and are living together. At present she is living a happy life. She is in a long distance marriage with her husband.

In an episode of Hotterfly’s The Male Feminist, Kanika rubbished divorce rumors and said, ‘He is not even my ex. I am not divorced. I don’t know who has spread this rumour. I have not been divorced, why do you want to get me divorced? He is living in Delhi, and I am in Bombay. We are still married. He admitted that he had filed for divorce in 2024, but said, ‘That is true but it has faded.’ I don’t know who leaked that also. People made me divorce. In fact, today journalism has become a business. Sell what is selling these days. We are living separately, we have a long-distance marriage, but there is a different fun in romancing like this.
