TVF’s web series have a different craze among the people and they do not disappoint the viewers. Every time we bring grassroots stories to the OTT screen through a new show. Be it ‘Panchayat’ or ‘Aspirants’ or ‘Gullak’, their stories seem different yet similar every time. Looking at them, it seems that these stories are ours and have come from among us. One such show of TVF is ‘Gram Chikitsalay’, whose first season was liked a lot by the audience and now this show is making a comeback with the new season. The medical system of the villages was attacked through this show. The show had the lead character of Doctor Prabhat, played by Amol Parashar. Apart from this, Akanksha Ranjan was seen in the role of Gargi. Now this pair will be seen together again on screen, but before that Akanksha told in which direction their characters have been taken.
Will Gargi and Prabhat come closer?
‘Gram Chikitsalay’ is going to return on Prime Video. In the second season too, the heart-touching stories of Bhatkhandi village will return with more depth and the same human relationships. Among the many highlights of the first season, one that stood out for many was the chemistry between Gargi and Prabhat. It was subtle and incomplete, and all the more interesting because the show never rushed to define it. Now that season 2 is just around the corner, it looks like their relationship is going to be at the center of the story. Ahead of the global premiere of ‘Gram Chikitsalay’ Season 2, Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor, who plays the role of Gargi, talked about her character and the dynamics with Prabhat and told how the journey of shooting this season was different and unique from her expectations.
What does ‘Gargi’ say?
Recalling the days when their relationship blossomed on the sets, Akanksha said, ‘Gargi and Prabhat’s dynamic evolved as we were shooting for it and I don’t think any of us expected it to turn out the way it did. Season 1 was just the beginning, you get a glimpse of these two guys, where there seems to be something between them, you can feel it, but it was just on the surface. Season 2 is where this really comes out. A lot of credit for this goes to our director Lalitham, who has a very flexible approach on the sets. That energy spread to everyone. We were all like ‘This is so cute, let’s go with this,’ because who he was in person was coming across so well on the screen. And as far as the question is whether they will be together or not, honestly even the writers themselves don’t know this, but we were having a lot of fun this season. ‘

Produced by The Viral Fever, ‘Gram Chikitsalay’ Season 2 is directed by Lalitam Tiwari, created by Deepak Kumar Mishra and Arunabh Kumar and written by Vaibhav Suman and Shreya Srivastava. The upcoming season sees the return of favorite actors including Amol Parashar, Akash Makhija, Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Vinay Pathak, Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor, Garima Vikrant Singh and Dinesh Lal Yadav in important roles. The Prime Original series will premiere in Hindi exclusively on Prime Video on June 23 in India and over 240 countries and territories across the world.
