Recently, the first teaser of Batwara 1947 was released and today, i.e. on 18th July, Aamir Khan Productions has released the second teaser of ‘Batwara 1947’, in which Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta and Shabana Azmi are in the lead roles.

After the success of ‘Border 2’, Sunny Deol will be seen in the film ‘Partition 1947’, which depicts the wounds of Partition. Talking about the second teaser of Batwara 1947, it starts with some emotional scenes, in which violence, arson, and the pain of being away from loved ones are seen on common people during Partition. In the initial moments, Preity Zinta, Ali Fazal and Shabana Azmi are seen, who are broken by this tragedy.

In the scene that follows, Sunny Deol delivers a powerful dialogue. He says, ‘People are living under the shadow of fear, people are dying, and I… I don’t want to die while I am alive. I am alive, and I will prove that I am alive. This dialogue turns the entire scene into an emotional moment. Along with this dialogue, Sunny is also seen doing many tremendous action scenes. A glimpse of Karan Deol can also be seen in the teaser, whose single glimpse has stolen all the limelight. The audience is very excited to see Karan Deol in the film.
What is ‘Batwara 1947’ based on?
The film is based on Asghar Wajahat’s famous play ‘Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya O Jamyai Nai’, which tells the poignant story of the partition of India and Pakistan in 1947. Its music is composed by A.R. Rahman has composed it, while the lyrics of the song have been written by Javed Akhtar. Sunny Deol is playing the role of Sikandar Mirza in the film. Apart from Sunny, the film also stars Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, Abhimanyu Singh and Karan Deol in lead roles and is scheduled to release in theaters on August 14, 2026.
