Kiara Advani does not want her daughter Saraiyah to be like her.


Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra welcomed their daughter Saraya Malhotra into this world in 2025 and now Kiara is enjoying her motherhood journey. Kiara will soon be seen in Yash starrer ‘Toxic’. Meanwhile, recently Kiara Advani spoke openly about motherhood and the upbringing of her daughter Saraiyah. She also opened up about how she wants to raise her daughter and what she wants to teach her about relationships and modern dating.

Kiara Advani talks about Saraiyah’s upbringing

Kiara Advani recently participated in Raj Shamani’s podcast, where she opened up about motherhood and her daughter Sarayah. During this, Kiara told how she used to see herself and Siddharth as girlfriend-boyfriend till Sarahiah was born. According to Kiara, it was only after Saraiyah became parents that their perspective on each other changed. Kiara said, “Somewhere, I used to think that this is how it should be. This perspective changed with time and experience. All the relationships you form in your life in childhood, they all teach you something and ultimately make you the person you are.”

I don’t want my daughter to be like me – Kiara

Kiara says, ‘I don’t want Saraiyah to grow up with fixed notions about love, marriage or relationships. I don’t want her to feel like she has to date only one person. I want him to live his life as per his wish. If you want to get married, get married. If you don’t want to get married, don’t get married. I want her to take her own decisions without thinking about society’s expectations. I want to raise her in such a way that she can take all her own decisions.”

He should have his own experiences- Kiara

Talking about children’s freedom to make mistakes and learn, Kiara said- ‘Life should be lived in every way. You should take your own decisions. Some mistakes will also happen during this time. I don’t want my daughter to see life only from her parents’ perspective. I don’t want him to learn from our experiences, I want him to have his own experiences. Kiara says that she does not want her daughter to become like her, who needs validation from her. She admitted that even after achieving stardom, she sometimes wanted validation from her parents.
