Indian music of the nineties is such a magical corridor, where upon reaching, the mind is filled with feelings of simplicity and love. The biggest feature of the songs of that period was their meaningful lyrics, spiritual voices and melodious music, which took the listeners to a different world of emotions. Amidst today’s noise and fast-beat music, old tunes provide the pause that every music lover looks for. This is the reason why today’s new generation, whom we call ‘Genji’, is as crazy about these evergreen tunes as the people of that era were. There is such a truth and innocence in these songs, which instead of getting blurred with time, is getting brighter.

The depth of Balasubramaniam’s voice and the sweetness of Chitra’s singing combined to create a magic that continues to thrill listeners even after three decades. That melodious tune at the beginning of the song even today gives a different feeling of peace as soon as it reaches the ears.
