Censor’s scissors on ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, 18 changes in Akshay’s film


Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ was waiting for release for a long time and now it is finally going to hit the theatres. But, the Censor Board has used scissors on the film. The Censor Board has passed the film with UA 16+ certificate with changes in 18 scenes. CBFC has also cut the scenes of Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandes in the film, especially the bikini scene. After all these cuts, now the length of Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ is 2 hours 44 minutes. Censor’s scissors on ‘Welcome to the Jungle’

According to Variety India, ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ has received clearance from the Censor Board and the film has been passed with U/A 16+ certificate. The board has asked for 18 changes in this film, out of which the biggest changes have been made in the scenes of Disha and Jacqueline. The censor has used scissors on Disha and Jacqueline’s bikini scene in ‘Welcome to the Jungle’. Apart from this, some vulgar and double meaning jokes have also been muted. The part where Kashmir is mentioned in the film has also been changed. Instructions have also been given to change sensitive, political or indecent words and dialogues like ‘Kashmir ka paani’ have been completely removed. The board has also demanded from the makers to remove the words like ‘Gorkha Regiment’ and ‘General’ and ‘Are you from the Army?’ Or instructions have been given to use the words ‘Officer/Sir’.

These dialogues will be changed

Many dialogues from ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ have been changed and cut. In these, instructions have been given to change the dialogues like ‘He has been born simple… He has been born’, ‘He has been born black, he is coal’, ‘Listen, I am telling you the story, fill the mouth of the one who was going to be martyred’, ‘Remember the sacrifice, fill the mouth with water’. Whereas Azaruddin has been changed to Allauddin. The sensual scenes of Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandes have been removed. These are scenes of about 10 seconds, which have been removed. Scenes with obscene hand gestures have also been removed.

When is ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ releasing?

Talking about the release of ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, it is being released in theaters on 26th June. This film is the third film of the ‘Welcome’ franchise, which has around 30 stars including Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Jacqueline Fernandes, Arshad Warsi, Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Johnny Lever and Farida Jalal. The film is directed by Ahmed Khan.
