Most companies offer warranty against gas leakage for 1 year after AC installation. If the AC gas leaks without any physical damage within 1 year of purchasing the AC, the company refills the gas for free. At the same time, some brands also offer comprehensive warranty on AC for 5 years, in which free recharge is done in case of gas leakage for 5 years. While buying an AC, you will have to get proper information about these warranties from the dealer, otherwise you may have to suffer loss.
