RCB vs DC: Royal Challengers Bangalore have suffered a big setback before an important match in IPL 2026. Karthik gave update on fitness
In the press conference before the match against Delhi Capitals, Dinesh Karthik clearly said that Phil Salt is currently injured. In the last match, Jacob Bethel got a chance in place of Salt, but he could not leave much of an impact and was out after scoring 14 runs in 10 balls. In such a situation, in Salt’s absence, Bethel is likely to get another chance.
Karthik spoke in praise of Kohli
During this, Dinesh Karthik also praised Virat Kohli a lot. He said that the truth is that every year he goes back and assesses what he has done. He comes with a very firm plan on how to play. He has a way of constantly testing himself in practice.
Karthik further said that he has a lot of experience and it is really amazing. A learning experience for any young player. He is sure that players like Vihaan Malhotra and Kanishk Chauhan would be looking at him and thinking, look how Virat bhaiya is practicing, what different is he doing?
Strong position in the points table
RCB is in great form at the moment and is at the second position in the points table with 5 wins in 7 matches. Although the team had lost one of its two defeats this season only against Delhi Capitals, hence Bengaluru will now look to avenge that defeat in Delhi. The absence of Phil Salt is definitely a challenge for RCB, but the team’s confidence is strong.
