Ingredients to make Paneer Kathi Roll

  • Ingredients for making dough: Flour 2 cups, salt, ghee 2 tbsp, water

  • Ingredients for Paneer: Mustard oil 2 teaspoons, Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 teaspoon, Garam masala half teaspoon, Black salt half teaspoon, Ginger-garlic paste 1 teaspoon, Lemon juice 1 teaspoon, Curd 1/3 cup, Salt as per taste, Paneer 250 grams, One onion, One tomato.

How to make Paneer Kathi Roll?

  • Add flour, salt and ghee in a vessel and mix well. Then add some water and mix everything well. When everything is mixed together, knead the dough well. Knead it until it remains soft. After kneading, cover it with a cloth and leave it to set for an hour.

  • Now add mustard oil and Kashmiri red chilli powder in a bowl and mix well. Then add garam masala, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, curd and salt as per taste and mix well with a whisk. Cut the paneer into cubes and add to the marinade and mix well.

  • Add some oil in the pan, add the marinated paneer pieces and cook on high flame for 2-3 minutes. When the marinade dries and the cheese gets a nice color, add onion and tomato pieces. Fry it lightly, your paneer filling is ready.

  • After an hour, when the dough has set, take the dough and roll it into a thin chapati with the help of a rolling pin. Keep in mind that it should neither be too thick nor too thin.

  • Place the pan on medium flame and cook the paratha without oil. Press the paratha well so that it gets cooked evenly from all sides. After this, add some oil in the pan and cook until one side becomes crispy. Your paratha is ready. Now add sautéed paneer over it and roll the paratha and then serve.
