If you want to eat something sweet, healthy and tasty then you can make bottle gourd barfi. Bottle gourd barfi tastes very tasty. You can eat it even during fasting. By eating bottle gourd barfi you will not feel too heavy. Once you make barfi in this way and eat it, you will feel like eating it again and again. Bottle gourd barfi recipe

First step- To make barfi, you have to take fresh, raw and very green bottle gourd. Peel the bottle gourd, wash it and grate it. Now keep the bottle gourd in a pan for boiling. If you cover and cook the bottle gourd for some time without water, the bottle gourd will melt easily. From time to time, open the gourd and check whether there is a gall or not.

Second step- When the gourd melts, add sugar as per your requirement. If you like sweets less then you can keep the amount of sugar less. If more sugar is added, the barfi sets easily but becomes slightly hard. Now cook bottle gourd and sugar until it dissolves. When the sugar starts bubbling well, then understand that the barfi is ready.

Third step- On the other hand, prepare mawa by putting it in a pan in advance. Don’t take too much mawa. If you are making 1 big bottle gourd barfi, then 1 bowl i.e. 200 grams of mawa is enough. You can prepare this much mawa from 1 liter milk. When the mawa is ready, mix it in the bottle gourd mixture. Now cook it while stirring continuously until it becomes a light decoction.

Fourth step- After mixing the bottle gourd and mawa, you will understand when it is ready to be frozen, the bottle gourd will start sticking to the pan lightly. Now understand that bottle gourd barfi is completely ready to freeze. Take a plate and apply ghee on it. Now add the prepared bottle gourd mixture to it. Spread it on a plate and let it set well. Leave it to cool for 1 hour. When the barfi is set, cut it with the help of a knife. Delicious bottle gourd barfi is ready. You can also add cashew nuts and almonds as per your choice.
