New Delhi: Monsoon has entered India and this week rain activities can be seen in many states including Delhi and Kerala. Monsoon has reached Kerala, Lakshadweep and parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Soon it will also engulf Goa, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and some parts of the North-East. The Meteorological Department estimates that there will be rain in Kerala, Coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep.
At the same time, the weather patterns are going to change in the Northeast also. Good rains are expected in states like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. There is a possibility of heavy rain for several days in parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya. Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim will also continue to receive rain throughout the week.
Hail will fall here along with rain
There are chances of heavy rain in Uttarakhand on June 5. Also, the weather department has predicted hailstorm in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and parts of the Western Himalayas. People of North India may also have to face storms and strong winds. There is a possibility of lightning and storm in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. In some areas the wind speed can reach up to 60 km/hour. On June 5, strong winds will blow at a speed of 50-60 km in Eastern Madhya Pradesh, Western Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. At some places, winds can blow at a speed of even 70.
How will the weather be in Delhi today?
The sky will remain cloudy in Delhi-NCR on Friday as well and there is a possibility of light rain along with lightning and strong winds between morning and afternoon. Wind speed is expected to reach 40–50 km/h. At some places, storm can blow at a speed of 60 km/hour.
It will be hot here
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heat wave in Bihar from June 6 to 8 and some parts of Uttar Pradesh will also experience similar heat from June 7. This is the time when monsoon arrives in some areas, but in other places the effect of heat persists. According to the Meteorological Department report, heat and humidity will persist in Odisha despite sporadic rains. Similar conditions will prevail in parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and some north-eastern states.
