IPL 2026 Final: Royal Challengers Bangalore i.e. RCB is trying to win the IPL final for the second time and will face Gujarat Titans in the title match to be held today (Sunday) evening. Before the final match of IPL 2026, Bengaluru City Police has issued strict advisory regarding celebrations. Bengaluru Police said that no public celebration or bike rally is allowed in the city. Strict legal action will be taken against those who do so.
Steps taken to prevent deadly incidents
Know that the purpose of this advisory is to prevent the deadly incidents that happened during last year’s victory celebrations from happening again. This step has been taken after the tragic incident that took place outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium on June 4, 2025. In that accident, 11 people lost their lives in the stampede that broke out during the celebration of RCB’s victory.
Ban on live screening of matches on LED screens
Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh has announced that there is a complete ban on live screening of the match on public LED screens. This ban will apply to screens installed outside malls, pubs and other places which are visible to the general public. Even on LED walls facing roads, matches will not be allowed to be shown without prior approval.
Ban on celebrating in public places
In this advisory, bike rallies, high speed, stunt riding, unnecessary blowing of horns, blocking of roads and bursting of firecrackers or use of dangerous things have also been banned. The police have also banned public celebrations on the streets after the result of the match.
Also alerted to those spreading inflammatory posts and rumors
Officials have also warned against drinking alcohol in public places, indecent behavior and any kind of violent action during celebrations. Apart from this, citizens have also been cautioned from spreading inflammatory posts, rumors or hate speech on social media.
Fans should not target supporters of the opposing team
An appeal has been made to the fans not to provoke or target the supporters of the opposing team. Officials have stressed that such actions could create law and order problems. Police officials have appealed to the common people to celebrate responsibly. He has said that it is the collective responsibility of all of us to maintain peace and security.
