Only those who have Voter ID card will get the benefit of the guarantee scheme, speak about SIR

Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has said that only those citizens of Karnataka who have a Voter ID card will get the benefit of the state guarantee scheme. The process of SIR started in the state from Tuesday, on the first day CM DK Shivakumar himself filled the enumeration form. After this the CM said that all citizens should retain their right to vote, otherwise it will be difficult to get government benefits. Let us tell you that the Congress party has been continuously opposing SIR before this and is raising questions on the impartiality of the Election Commission.

People should participate in SIR process- CM

Referring to other states, CM DK Shivkumar said that there too the voters are getting the benefits of government schemes. CM said that the rest of the states are removing the names of those people who do not have the right to vote from the scheme. A similar system can be considered in our state also. We want to ensure that only the voters of our state get the benefit of the guarantee scheme. Why should these benefits be given to people of other states? We believe that these benefits should be limited only to the people of our state. In this regard, he urged citizens to participate in the SIR process and said that all citizens should maintain their voting rights; Otherwise, it will be difficult for them to avail government facilities. CM said that so that the names of real voters remain intact in the voter list, the government will also provide all possible help in providing them the desired documents.
