There has been a big explosion in an apartment in Agartala, the capital of Tripura. Many people were injured and there was huge damage to property in the explosion that took place in the apartment building at NS Apartment in Chaumuhani on Thursday night. After this, police, bomb disposal, forensic and dog squad teams were sent to the spot. The exact number of injured and the reason for the blast are not yet known.

According to the information received, the blast took place in a flat on the first floor of the apartment. The sound of the blast was so loud that it was heard in many nearby areas. The building’s windows were shattered, walls were damaged and panic spread throughout the campus.
Talking about the incident, Kushal Deb, who lives on the third floor of the building, said that he was inside his room when he suddenly heard a loud bang. On coming out, people came to know that there was a massive explosion on the first floor, due to which some part of the building was badly damaged.

Many people were injured in this blast. A woman was seriously injured after being hit by glass fragments near her eye and was immediately rushed to GB Hospital for treatment. A young man present on the first floor at the time of the incident also suffered serious injuries and complained of severe pain in the body. Officials have directed that all the injured should get proper treatment without any delay.
What is the reason for the blast?
The real reason for the blast is not yet known. While some locals suspect a gas-related accident, officials have not ruled out other possibilities. Police and forensic experts have started a detailed investigation to find out the cause and source of the blast. Officials have expressed hope that the ongoing investigation will soon reveal the circumstances that led to the incident.
According to officials, a loud bang-like sound was reported from NS Apartment near Sankat Chaumuhani at around 12 o’clock on Thursday night. Emergency response teams including fire service and bomb squad were immediately alerted and reached the spot. SDPO officer Deba Prasad Roy said, “At 12 o’clock in the night, we received information that a loud bang-like sound was heard in a flat in NS Apartment at Sankat Chowmuhani. We immediately reached the spot and found that the incident had taken place on the first floor of the apartment. As soon as we reached there, we informed all the emergency services including the bomb squad and fire service. The concerned agencies reached the spot and have started their investigation. We are hopeful that we will soon be able to find out where the incident took place.” “And what actually caused it.”
