A girl preparing for NEET committed suicide in Chandramani Colony, Patel Nagar Kotwali area of Dehradun. There was chaos in the family after the incident. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem.

According to the information, 23-year-old Riya Kumari was preparing for NEET exam for the last several years. It is being told that she had appeared in NEET exam earlier also, but was quite disappointed due to not getting success. On Monday morning, Riya ended her life by hanging herself in her room.
When the family reached his room in the morning, they came to know about the incident. After this the police was immediately informed. As soon as the information was received, Patel Nagar Kotwali police reached the spot and inspected the spot.
NEET paper went well
According to family members and local people, Riya, 23, daughter of Rajesh Mall Thapa, resident of Chandramani Colony, had passed the paper well this time, but the increased anxiety regarding the cancellation of the exam after the paper leak and the proposed re-exam on June 21 was continuously troubling her. In the suicide note found at the spot, he has expressed his frustration of not getting success in studies by writing ‘Mummy-Papa I love you’.

Police also found a suicide note from the spot. Initial investigation has revealed that Rhea has blamed herself for this step by writing ‘Mummy-Papa I love you’ in the note. He has also mentioned disappointment regarding studies and career. Along with investigating the suicide note, the police is also investigating other aspects.

According to family members and local people, this time his paper had gone well and he was hopeful of selection. Dehradun CO Sadar Ankit Bhandari said, ‘The deceased was preparing for the re-exam proposed in June when she suddenly took such a big step. After collecting evidence, the police handed over the body to the family after post-mortem. According to the police, the matter is being investigated and further action is being taken keeping all the aspects in mind.
