Railways launches Punctuality BZA mobile app, passengers as well as railway officials will get many facilities

Indian Railways has launched its first internal Android-based mobile app to monitor whether trains run on time and are delayed by more than 15 minutes. The name of this app developed by Vijayawada Division of South Coast Railway (SCoR) is ‘Punctuality BZA’. This new app will help railway officials to track the movement and delay of trains.

There will be no need to enter OTP again and again

According to a report in The Indian Express, Vijayawada Division PRO Nusrat M. Mandrupkar said that this mobile app will enable railway officials and controllers to easily monitor the movement of trains from anywhere. The official said the app eliminates dependency on desktop-based systems and overcomes the shortcomings of the traditional ICMS web portal, which required users to visit multiple screens and complete OTP-based authentication repeatedly.

You will get automatic notification if there is a delay of more than 15 minutes

According to SCoR, this new mobile app adds all the important information related to train operations into the dashboard. It provides features like section-wise train status, Late Train Monitoring (LTM), PAM (Punctuality Assessment Module) data and automatic notification when a train is delayed by more than 15 minutes. “This real-time monitoring capability improves situational understanding, helps in faster decision making and enables immediate corrective action to improve punctuality,” the railway official said.

New app will also be very helpful for train managers

The new ‘Punctuality BZA’ app has also been integrated with the ‘Late Train Monitoring (LTM BZA)’ system. It is an in-house tool that automates train running documentation for train managers. This enables railway officials to view delay information and train movement data in real-time, helping them respond faster to operational issues.

Punctuality BZA app will provide officers with real-time operational data

In a statement, Vijayawada division DRM Mohit Sonakiya said the app will give real-time operational data to railway officials. This will enable faster intervention and data-based decisions. With this, the field staff will be able to pay more attention to security and passenger service.
