Bye The group’s Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) and Oyo’s parent company Prism managed to make it to the top-10 in the Grohe-Hurun India Real Estate-150 list for the year 2026. During this period, the valuation of Prism increased by 107 percent to Rs 67,200 crore. According to the report, along with the retail sector, hospitality was the second sector which registered growth in terms of valuation this year. The report said that Ritesh Aggarwal-led Prism (OYO) emerged as the biggest success story of the hospitality sector this year.
Prism’s valuation increased by Rs 34,700 crore
The valuation of Prism increased by Rs 34,700 crore to Rs 67,200 crore, due to which it climbed 6 places from 11th to 5th position and also entered the top-10 for the first time. Let us tell you that Prism is also going to bring its IPO soon. According to the report, till a decade ago the hospitality sector had limited contribution in the real estate list, but now it has become the second largest category in terms of number of companies after the housing sector. This year, 24 companies from the hospitality sector are included in the list, whereas last year their number was 22. Their total valuation is Rs 2.85 lakh crore.
ITC Hotels also made place in top 10
The valuation of Tata Group’s Indian Hotels Company stood at Rs 93,300 crore. Whereas, ITC Hotels, which was recently listed separately, has made it to the list for the first time with a valuation of Rs 32,300 crore. The report says that 32-year-old Ritesh Aggarwal, founder and CEO of Prism, was the youngest businessman in this list. Whereas, 93-year-old Kapil Bhatia of InterGlobe Hotels is the most senior businessman.
Increase in valuation of 31 out of 151 companies
According to the report, this year the valuation of only 31 out of 151 companies included in the list increased. Among existing companies, Adani Properties and Prism (Oyo) added about two-thirds of the total value creation. Prism was also the second most valuable unlisted real estate company in the country after Adani Properties in 2026.
Sectors related to consumer spending performed well
Hurun India Founder and Chief Researcher Anas Rehman Junaid said that sectors related to consumer spending performed better this year. Whereas, there was a decline in sectors dependent on developers. The valuation of housing real estate declined by nearly 16 percent and that of commercial real estate by 14 percent, while the retail sector recorded a significant growth of 8 percent and the hospitality sector recorded a significant growth. Talking about women leadership, Jyotsna Suri, chairperson of ‘The Lalit’ was among the top. Whereas, Priya Paul, Chairperson of APJ Surendra Park Hotels stood second.
