Hyundai will increase the prices of its vehicles, your favorite car will become expensive by ₹ 12,800.

If you are thinking of bringing home a new car for your family this summer season, then check your pocket budget once again before visiting the showroom. After the country’s largest car company Maruti Suzuki recently announced increase in prices, now the second largest car manufacturer Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) has also given a big blow to the customers.

Hyundai has officially announced on Wednesday that it is going to increase the prices of all its vehicles. After this decision of the company, your favorite Hyundai car will become costlier by ₹ 12,800. If you are planning to buy a car like Creta, Venue, i20 or Exeter, then this news is going to directly impact your budget.

New rates will be applicable from next month

Hyundai Motor India has made it clear in its statement that this increase in car prices will become effective across the country from June 1, 2026. The company said that there will not be a uniform increase on all cars. The prices will be decided on the basis of different models, engine types and variants of the cars. Under this, the maximum increase will be up to ₹ 12,800, while this increase may be slightly less on the base model and smaller variants.

This increase is part of the April announcement

Let us tell you that this decision of Hyundai has not come suddenly. Earlier, on April 8, 2026, the company had already indicated this in a regulatory filing. During that time, the carmaker had said that due to the increase in various costs, they will increase the prices by about 1 percent on all their vehicles from next month. This announcement on Wednesday is the next part of that series.

Why are Hyundai cars becoming expensive?

Explaining the compulsions behind this, Hyundai has said that the cost of raw materials is continuously increasing in the market. Apart from this, this step had to be taken due to high commodity prices (like steel, aluminium) and huge increase in the daily operating expenses of the company.
