New Delhi: A sudden change in the weather was seen in NCR including the capital Delhi on Tuesday evening. Strong dusty winds blew in Delhi-NCR in the evening, while light drizzle also occurred at some places. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert regarding rain in many parts of the city. According to the Meteorological Department, ‘Red’ and ‘Orange’ alerts were issued regarding lightning, hailstorm and moderate rain. At the same time, havoc of strong winds was seen in many areas of UP. There has been a lot of damage due to strong winds in Mathura and Etawah of UP.
Red alert for many areas of Delhi
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding rain in Delhi. According to IMD, there may be moderate rain with thunderstorm in many areas of Delhi. During this period, winds can also blow at a speed of 60-80 kilometers per hour. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has also expressed the possibility of lightning and hailstorm. In many areas, winds can blow at a speed of 40-50 km per hour. The Meteorological Department has issued an ‘Orange’ alert for the outskirts of North Delhi, North West and North East Delhi and surrounding areas. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain and lightning as well as strong winds in these areas. At the same time, ‘red’ alert has been issued for other parts of the city.
Two planes coming to Delhi had to be sent to Jaipur
Two flights had to be diverted due to bad weather in the capital Delhi on Tuesday evening. Both the planes had to be sent to Jaipur. According to the information, an Indigo flight coming from Agartala to Delhi was diverted to Jaipur. Apart from this, a SpiceJet flight coming from Dubai to Delhi was also sent to Jaipur.
Extreme heat in many districts of UP
Talking about UP, here too there was extreme heat throughout the day. The temperature reached 45 degrees in many districts of UP. Banda was the hottest district of UP today. The effect of heat was also seen in Prayagraj, Meerut and Jhansi. However, in the evening there was light drizzle along with strong winds in many districts. In Mathura, due to strong winds in the evening, the balcony of a house collapsed, injuring 8 people. There was a lot of damage in Etawah also due to strong winds. At present, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert of strong winds along with thunder in 36 districts of UP. Apart from this, there is a heat wave alert in 17 districts.
When will there be relief from heat in Rajasthan?
According to the Meteorological Department, many areas of Rajasthan are in the grip of extreme heat. Sriganganagar was the hottest place in the state on Tuesday with a temperature of 46.4 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of heat wave in some parts of the state in the coming days. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to remain mainly dry in Western Rajasthan, especially Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions, for the next two days. During this period the maximum temperature can remain between 44 to 46 degrees. Heat wave may also occur at some places. There is a possibility of thunderstorm and rain in some parts of the state from June 11. The Meteorological Department said that between June 11 and 14, there may be a thunderstorm with strong winds (50-60 km per hour) in the areas of Bikaner, Jaipur, Ajmer and Bharatpur divisions and light to moderate rain at some places.
How far has the monsoon reached?
Talking about monsoon, the south-west monsoon has reached North Bengal and north-eastern states today. The Meteorological Department said that conditions remain favorable for the advance of monsoon into eastern, central and western India in the next four to five days. According to the weather department, “Southwest Monsoon has advanced into remaining parts of northeastern states, entire Sikkim and parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.” IMD has predicted heavy rains in Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Alipurduar, Jalpaiguri and Cooch Behar districts of North Bengal till June 13.
