On May 26, in 21 districts of India including Banda, the maximum temperature was recorded above 45 degrees Celsius. During this time, people had to face severe heat wave and scorching heat. According to the Meteorological Department, heat wave to severe heat wave conditions may prevail in Central and North-West India for the next 3 to 4 days. At the same time, the eastern and adjacent peninsular areas may also witness heat wave for the next 2 to 3 days.

Temperature will start decreasing after May 29

However, the Meteorological Department has also predicted that there will be relief. The maximum temperature will start decreasing from May 29 and gradually the heat wave situation may improve. At the same time, in North-West India the temperature may fall by 6 to 8 degrees Celsius between 28 and 29 May. Also, the temperature in Central India may drop by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius from May 29.

Forecast of strong thunderstorm and rain in Northeast India

On the other hand, IMD has also forecast rain and strong thunderstorms in many parts of India. There is a possibility of thunderstorm, heavy rain and lightning in Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura of North-East India on May 27. Apart from this, heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur over Meghalaya and Assam.
