The fight to get justice for Bharat Tiwari has reached Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Bharat’s brother Chandan Tiwari is going to hold an indefinite strike at Jantar Mantar. Karni Sena and Parshuram Sena are also involved in this strike. This protest has been organized to demand that the policemen who encountered Bharat Tiwari be sent to jail. Bharat Tiwari’s villagers and family members have alleged fake encounter.
People participating in the protest made 5 demands from the government
- A case of murder should be registered against the policemen involved in the encounter of Bharat Tiwari.
- Financial assistance: Financial assistance of Rs 5 crore should be given to the victim’s family.
- Job: One member of the family should be given a government job.
- Security: Security should be provided to Bharat Tiwari’s family.
- Social work: The government should complete the families and social works for which Bharat Tiwari was working.
Bharat Tiwari’s brother told why the protest in Delhi?
While talking to India TV, Bharat Tiwari’s brother said that if the Bihar government did not listen to him, now he will present his views to Delhi. Will continue to fast until their views are heard.
Bharat Tiwari’s encounter took place in Ara last month
Let us tell you that the encounter that took place in Arrah, Bihar on June 17, 2026, is being discussed in the entire country, when Bharat Tiwari was shot by the police. Initially the police had said that Bharat Tiwari had fired at the policemen, but later a video of Bharat Tiwari’s Facebook Live had surfaced, in which he was seen throwing his pistol in front of the policemen.
Controversy increased over policemen not being arrested
There has been an uproar since this video surfaced. Continuous protests are taking place in Bihar. Many casteist organizations have come out in support of Bharat Tiwari. However, judicial investigation is going on in this matter. A case has also been registered but no policeman has been arrested, due to which people are angry. Let us tell you that after Bharat Tiwari was shot, the first doctor to whom he was taken was surgeon Dr HM Ansari. He had told that Bharat Tiwari had been hit by 4 to 5 bullets.
