Uttarakhand A heart-wrenching accident has come to light from Champawat. An accident occurred while returning after purchasing a new car here. Suddenly the car went out of control in Lohaghat area and fell into a 100 meter deep gorge. In this accident, two people in the car were burnt alive, while three people somehow got out, which saved their lives. The police team reached the spot after the accident and admitted the injured to the hospital after providing first aid.
An accident happened while returning after buying a new car.
Officials said a newly purchased car fell into a deep gorge in Lohaghat area of Champawat. After falling into the ditch, the car caught fire, causing two people to burn to death. 3 other people have been injured in this accident. Lohaghat Sub-Divisional Magistrate Neetu Dangar said that the accident happened on Friday in Bantoli area on Tanakpur-Pithoragarh all-weather road.
Car fell into 100 meter deep ditch
According to the information, Baldev Kumar (36), resident of Kanalichhina, Pithoragarh, was returning home with his family after purchasing a new car from Haldwani. Rajendra Kumar (48), resident of Didihat, was driving the car. Sub-Divisional Magistrate Neetu Dangar said that the car suddenly went out of control near Bantoli and fell into a 100 meter deep ditch, which caught fire as soon as it hit.
All three people sitting in the back seat survived
Baldev’s wife Neetu Devi (35) and their two sons, Advit (8) and Aarav (5), who were sitting in the rear seat of the car, were thrown out of the car and survived with injuries. However, Baldev and Rajendra got trapped in the debris of the burning vehicle and died on the spot. As soon as the information was received, teams of local police, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and district administration reached the spot and started rescue and relief operations.
The injured were admitted to the hospital
After the incident, first aid was given to the three injured family members. After this he was referred to a bigger hospital for better treatment. Champawat District Magistrate Manish Kumar has ordered a magistrate’s inquiry regarding this accident. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the family after the incident.
