All heat records were broken in the country, due to heat new records of electricity demand were created, when the demand increased, records were created for power cuts. Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Bihar, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana and Odisha are scorching due to the scorching heat. All the 50 hottest cities in the world are from India. Banda in UP was the hottest, where the temperature reached 48.2 degrees. In such a situation, due to frequent power cuts, people in many cities including Lucknow came to the streets and protested, gheraoed the power house, at some places the MLA and at some places the Mayor had to face the anger of the public.
According to the Energy Ministry of the Central Government, on May 18, the demand for electricity in the entire country was 257 GW, which increased to 271 GW on May 21, whereas in June last year, the demand for electricity was 243 GW. The government claims that there is no shortage of electricity but due to sudden increase in load there is a problem in supply. It is said that trouble does not come alone. Firstly, the price of petrol and diesel increased, there was a lot of heat on it, the demand for electricity increased further. People who earlier used diesel generators have also now shifted to electricity. Now more houses than ever have electricity meters installed, so the demand is even higher.
If there is electricity surplus in Uttar Pradesh then why is there a supply problem? If the supply line is faulty then it is wrong. If transformers have started burning then it is the fault of the electricity department. If there is no shortage in electricity supply, even then people are facing problems, then it means that the electricity department did not make preparations in advance. Whoever is responsible for this, electricity should be cut off from their homes for a few days, only then will we know what heat is.
Bakrid: No prayers on the streets
After Yogi Adityanath, now Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami has said that the government will not allow people to offer namaz on the streets. Dhami said, some people are demanding to offer Namaz on the road on the pretext of Eid but they should understand that the government will not allow this at any cost. This time in Bengal too, there is a ban on Namaz on the roads. There will be neither sacrifice in public places nor namaz on the streets on the day of Eid. Till last year, the last Friday prayers before Bakrid in Bengal were held on the streets but this time it did not happen. Neither the road was blocked, nor the traffic stopped, all the worshipers went to the mosque, offered namaz and went home.
Delhi government has said that this time there will be no open sacrifice on Bakrid. If anyone tries to slaughter a cow or a camel, strict action will be taken against him. Even Muslim scholars agree that sacrificing a cow on Bakrid is not right, even the law does not allow it. Open sacrifice causes problems to other people. Offering Namaz on the road causes traffic jams. Even Muslim brothers would not want others to feel sour during the festival and someone to face problems. The good thing is that this time even big Maulanas are appealing to the Muslim brothers to offer namaz in the mosque only and make sacrifices inside the house only. It should be believed that the appeal of the Maulanas will have an impact and the festival of Bakrid will be celebrated with enthusiasm and enthusiasm in an atmosphere of peace.
Vinesh Phogat: Revenge of Brij Bhushan
Delhi High Court reprimanded Indian Wrestling Federation for atrocities against Vinesh Phogat. The Wrestling Federation had disqualified Vinesh Phogat from domestic competitions. The High Court said that the wrestling association should not act out of revenge against the player who is returning after maternity leave. The High Court also asked the Central Government to form a panel of experts, which will assess whether Vinesh Phogat is fit for wrestling or not.
Along with this, the court also directed to give permission to Vinesh to participate in the selection trials of the Asian Games. Vinesh Phogat had told the court that she wants to return to wrestling after maternity leave. The High Court said that becoming a mother is an act of honor and no one should be punished for this. There is no doubt that the Wrestling Federation has repeatedly committed atrocities against Vinesh Phogat. This time even the High Court admitted that the act was carried out with a vendetta against Vinesh.
The big thing is that Vinesh had raised her voice against Brijbhushan Sharan Singh, she was punished for that. Stopping any player from playing is no less than a sin. What if Vinesh contested the elections on Congress ticket? What if she became a champion mother? How can his wrestling be questioned by this? Now the experts panel formed by the central government should be completely independent, and it should be ensured that the panel is not overshadowed by the people serving Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
