Heat wave conditions will persist over Central Maharashtra and Marathwada for the next two days. In the last 24 hours, very heavy rainfall of 12 to 20 cm has been seen in Assam and Karnataka. Along with this, heavy rainfall has been seen in Himachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Manipur. Winds are blowing at the speed of 60 to 95 km per hour in Marathwada, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh.

There have also been reports of hailstorm from some areas of Rajasthan. Due to rain here, people have got relief from the scorching heat. Reports of heat wave have also been received in Vidarbha. The northern trough of Southwest Monsoon is passing through Harnai, Solapur, Hyderabad, Bhadradri, Kota, Kotaguyam, Kalingapatnam, Paradip, Barpada, Puralia, Dhanbad and Muzaffarpur. Along with this, there are chances of South West Monsoon covering the remaining areas of Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal during the next two to three days.

A Western Disturbance is active over North West India and a Cyclonic Circulation is active over Central Pakistan. A trough is running from Central Pakistan to Bangladesh and a dry zone in southern Peninsular India is running from Kerala to Tamil Nadu coast. Due to Western Disturbance, a warning of thunderstorm has been issued over the entire North West India and East India, in which there is also a warning of thunder spoil and dust storm over Rajasthan.

Warning of heavy rain has been issued in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar. Warning of heavy rainfall has also been issued in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram. Heavy rainfall alert has also been issued in Orissa, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Heat wave warning has been issued for Marathwada, Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha. Strong winds may also blow over Lakshadweep and Kerala. As the Western Disturbance moves ahead, strong winds will continue to blow in North West India, due to which there is an orange alert in Rajasthan. Rail alert of thunderstorm continues in the western Himalayan regions also. Heavy rainfall alert will continue in Assam, Meghalaya and all Himalayan West Bengal in East and Northeast India. There is an alert of heavy rainfall in Kerala and Tamil Nadu and also in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Three people died due to lightning in Chandauli

Amidst the rain, storm and strong winds that lashed many parts of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, two women and a teenager died due to lightning in Chandauli district, while in Kannauj, seven people were injured when a part of a dilapidated roof and a tin shed collapsed. According to the police, Shakuntala (68), a resident of Bajardiha village of Chakia police station area of ​​Chandauli district, died due to lightning on Saturday afternoon. Chakia police station in-charge Santosh Kumar said that Shakuntala was sweeping outside her house at around 2.30 pm when strong winds started blowing and light rain started. Before she could reach a safe place, lightning fell on her, due to which she got seriously burnt and she died on the spot. He said that as soon as the information was received, police and revenue department officials reached the spot and completed the necessary legal formalities. The body has been taken for post-mortem. In the evening, a woman and a minor girl died in another incident of lightning in Chandauli district. Police said the deceased have been identified as Ruby (35) and Lakshmi (13); Both were residents of Dhanwal Kalan village of Chakia area.
