BJP’s spectacular victory on Phalta seat
BJP candidate Debangshu Panda has got 1 lakh 49 thousand 666 (1,49,666) votes from Phalta Assembly seat of West Bengal. The BJP candidate has defeated CPI(M) leader Shambhu Nath Kurmi. CPI(M) candidate got only 40 thousand 645 (40,645) votes. The difference between victory and defeat on this seat was 1 lakh 9 thousand 21 (1,09,021) votes. Apart from this, Congress candidate Abdur Razzaq Mollah got 10,084 votes. Trinamool Congress candidate Jahangir Khan had withdrawn his name before voting, yet he got 7,783 votes.
