Monsoon Update: It is scorching heat in many states including Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar. Now everyone is waiting for the arrival of monsoon. Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has given the latest update regarding monsoon. According to IMD, the south-west monsoon is advancing rapidly. On June 8 (Monday), Monsoon has hit west-central and east-central Arabian Sea, some more parts of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Along with this, there is a possibility of rain in many parts of the country during the next 2 to 3 days.

According to the Meteorological Department, conditions remain favorable for the advance of Monsoon into Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim and remaining parts of Northeast India in the next 2 to 3 days.

Rain and hailstorm alert in these states of the country

There is a possibility of rain and thundershowers over Konkan-Goa, Coastal Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim and North-Eastern states during the next 48 to 72 hours. Rain will be very heavy at some places. There is also a possibility of hailstorm.

Landslides may occur amid rain in Northeast India

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain during the next 2 to 3 days in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. During this period, there may be a danger of waterlogging and landslides in many areas.

Light drizzle expected in Delhi-NCR

There is no possibility of monsoon reaching Delhi-NCR right now. People are troubled by the heat due to strong sunlight during the day. The temperature of Delhi is reaching above 43 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, Delhi-NCR may remain partly cloudy due to the influence of western disturbances and local weather systems. There may be light rain or drizzle in some areas, but the chances of getting complete relief from heat and humidity are slim at the moment. Meanwhile, the maximum temperature may remain between 38 to 41 degrees Celsius.

When will the people of Uttar Pradesh get relief from the heat?

Weather patterns may start changing in the eastern and Terai regions of Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder in some districts of Eastern UP in the next 2 to 3 days. Whereas heat and humidity will persist in western UP. Monsoon is expected to reach the state by mid-June.

Rain forecast in many districts of Bihar

Rain activities may increase in Bihar in the next few days due to moist winds coming from the Bay of Bengal. There is a possibility of rain with thunder in many districts of North and East Bihar. Strong winds may also blow at some places. The temperature may drop by 2 to 4 degrees.
