Today a shocking news of misuse of technology has come to light. In fact, a Maulana from Maharashtra took the help of AI videos to promote conversion. A few days ago, there was news of forced conversion of Ayush, the only son of a businessman in Shamli. Three people have been sent to jail in this case. But a video of Ayush Malik circulated widely on social media. In this video Ayush Malik is telling his name as Mohammad Ali. Ayush is seen saying that he has accepted Islam of his own free will, no one put pressure on him, he should not be harassed, he will not leave Islam at any cost.
Fake video of Ayush’s sister surfaced
This video was shared on social media. Many similar videos of different types were circulated from more than 50 social media handles. After this another video came, in which a girl named Sabina introduced herself as Ayush’s sister. She said that her brother was being harassed unnecessarily. Religion is a matter of choice, it should not be interfered in. He asked why the issue is not raised when a Muslim becomes a Hindu.
Ayush’s father denied having his own daughter
When this video of Sabina reached Ayush’s father Devraj Malik, he was surprised because he has only one daughter and she is married. Ayush’s father told that his daughter lives in Noida. Devraj Malik’s son Ayush is also living with his sister. After watching Sabina’s video, Devraj Malik issued his statement on social media. He told people that the girl who is claiming to be Ayush’s sister has nothing to do with him, he does not even know her.
Police investigation found the video to be fake
After watching the video, Devraj Malik reached the police and lodged an FIR. When the police started investigation, they found out that the video of Ayush that was circulating was AI generated. This video was posted from Nashik. Shamli police contacted Nashik police. When the details of the Instagram handle from which this video was posted came to light, it was found that a well-known Maulana had posted this video. After this, this AI video was circulated through various handles as genuine. In this case, 50 Instagram handles came under the radar of the police.
Many accused on the radar of UP Police
A team of UP Police has been sent to Nashik. However, Maulana is now apologizing for his actions. But his arrest is certain. Kurla’s SDPI leader Asif Khan is also on the police radar in this case. Asif Khan had also circulated a similar fake video. Now the police is searching for Sabina who claims to be Ayush’s sister. Fearing the strictness of the police, Sabina immediately released the video and apologized. Sabina said that she is not Ayush’s sister, nor does she know his family.
Difficult to identify deep fake
AI generated deep fake videos are made so cleverly that it becomes difficult for a common man to identify real or fake. Deep fakes have been used to sell fake medicines, promote investments in fake companies, and arrange marriages. However, the use of deep fake for religious conversion has come to light for the first time. People get trapped in deep fake because they do not have complete information about it.
