About 16 lakh government officers, employees and lakhs of pensioners of Uttar Pradesh will benefit from this order issued by the Finance Department. This decision will definitely increase the additional financial burden on the state treasury, but the employees will get huge relief in this period of inflation.
How much will be the salary increase? Understand its complete calculation
Dearness allowance is always calculated on the basis of the basic salary of the employee. Let us understand with an example how much money this 2% increase will add to your pocket: Suppose the basic salary of an employee is ₹ 35,000. According to 58% DA, earlier one was getting ₹ 20,300. Now you will get ₹ 21,000 as per 60% DA. According to this, there will be a direct benefit of ₹ 700 in his salary every month. (Along with this, huge arrears from January to April will also be added to the account). Similarly, senior officers whose basic salary is ₹1 lakh or more will see a huge increase in their monthly salaries ranging from ₹2,000 to ₹5,000.
