B-28 bullet train will be built in this city, Ashwini Vaishnav inaugurated ‘Aditya’ complex


central Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav visited BEML’s Tippasandra Campus in Bengaluru on Saturday. On this occasion, the Minister inaugurated a special complex named ‘Aditya’, where the bullet train will be manufactured. Ashwini Vaishnav said that the technology of bullet train is quite complex and complicated. He said that the development of Bullet Train in our country is an important milestone for indigenous engineering. He said that ICF and BEML are jointly designing the ‘self-reliant’ version of the bullet train B-28 at the ‘Aditya’ complex.

The journey between Chennai and Bengaluru will be completed in just 73 minutes.

Highlighting the transformative power of bullet trains, the Railway Minister said that with the arrival of these trains, big cities will be seen as extensions of each other. He gave the example of travel time between Chennai and Bengaluru, which is expected to be reduced to just 73 minutes; With this, both these cities will effectively become part of the same integrated hub. Ashwini Vaishnav said that the introduction of bullet train service between Mumbai and Bengaluru will further improve connectivity. A new ‘Mail Express’ with LHB coaches will be introduced via Hubli and soon a ‘Vande Bharat Sleeper Express’ will also start its services.

The minister confirmed that ‘Vande Bharat’ train between Mangaluru and Bengaluru will be started very soon. He emphasized that while planning this train, the need to connect Margao and other coastal cities of Karnataka before its implementation has been fully kept in mind. Technical barriers have been removed. He said that their work on the next generation of ‘rolling stock’ (train bogies) plays a central role in realizing the dream of a ‘developed India’. He once again reiterated the government’s commitment towards maintaining a balance between large-scale infrastructure development and environmental sustainability and public awareness.
